Hierarchical thermodynamics as the foundation of Darwinian evolution

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to draw readers' attention that the hierarchical thermodynamics, in my opinion, has achieved the revolutionary success in understanding of origin of life and biological evolution from the viewpoint of physical chemistry.

The law of temporal hierarchies and the principle of substance stability provided the basis of hierarchical thermodynamics. This quasi-equilibrium thermodynamics describes the evolution of dynamical systems of all hierarchies of living matter. The principle of substance stability describes the thermodynamic interaction mechanisms of related hierarchies and explains the possibility of transmitting the thermodynamic information from DNA to the population and the environment and vice versa - from the environment and the population to DNA.

Hierarchical thermodynamics claims that "variation and selection" of Ch. Darwin and A. Wallace can be represented by the generalized equation of Gibbs that applicable to complex thermodynamic systems. This equation combines the first and second laws of thermodynamics and takes into account the spontaneous and non-spontaneous processes in living systems. The variation is connected with the action of the environment of each hierarchy, but the selection takes place at all hierarchical levels as a result of trends of the specific value of the Gibbs function of the formation of hierarchical structures toward minimum.

Hierarchical thermodynamics founds the existence of common mechanism of Darwinian selection for chemical and prebiological evolution. Hierarchical thermodynamic theory holds that life arose from prebiotic molecules, emerging in different regions of the universe. The emergence of life is predetermined by the laws of hierarchical thermodynamics. This suggests the conclusion that the principles of construction and operation of nucleic acids, as well as the genetic code, are single (or, - the same type) in the universe. I believe that the thermodynamic theory of aging has achieved breakthrough results that will change the fate of future generations. Hierarchical quasi-equilibrium thermodynamics takes into account the dynamic nature of the development of nature. It brings together two ways of knowing the world: the dynamic theory of Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace and the dynamic quasiequilibrium thermodynamics Willard Gibbs.
